Kick off to 2015

20 May 2015

Kick-off for the Annual Work Programme 2015!

Since last year ERGO Network is supported through the European Union Programme for Employment and Social Innovation "EaSI" (2014-2020). The Programme finances European network working for the improvement of policies in the fields of employment and working conditions, social protection, social inclusion and the reduction and prevention of poverty.

In 2015 ERGO Network will continue to work on the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF). Together with its members, ERGO Network will analysed the approved Operational Programmes in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romani and Slovakia and in particular on the Community-led Local Development (CLLD). The organisations cooperating with ERGO Network in this work at national level are: Integro Association (Bulgaria), Slovo 21 (Czech Republic), Policy Center for Roma and Minorities (Romania), Nevo Parudimus (Romania), Pro Cserehat (Hungary), Roma Advocacy and Research Center (Slovakia). Together with them we will follow the development of the guidelines and indicators for the upcoming calls, liaise with Local Action Groups (LAGs) and promote Roma participation in the development, implementation and monitoring of Local Development Strategies and projects.

ERGO Network will also contribute to the European Semester by bringing the Roma perspective into the policy process both at national and European level.

The members will work towards the establishment of National Roma Working Groups. Those coalitions of Roma and pro-Roma organisations at local and national level will be a space for cooperation and peer-learning and will act jointly towards national governments and other relevant public authorities.

In addition, ERGO Network will coordinate researches on topics related to anti-discrimination and the Equality Bodies and employment.

Throughout the year several working and expert meetings will be organised to share information and experiences, plan joint advocacy and policy work and facilitate the meetings of grassroots Roma organisations with EU-level representatives.
